Fine-tune your video framing by adjusting the AI’s automatic cropping. Perfect for when the framing is too tight or parts of the speaker are cut off.

How it works

Flowjin’s AI automatically crops and frames your video for optimal social media viewing. Sometimes you may need to adjust this cropping to better fit your content.

When to Adjust Cropping

Fix cropping when:
  • The AI has zoomed in too much on the speaker
  • Parts of the speaker are cut off or outside the frame
  • You want more or less of the background visible
  • You need to reposition the speaker within the frame

Adjusting the Crop

To manually adjust cropping:
  1. Hover over the scene you want to fix
  2. Click “Edit Scene”
  3. Click “Crop”
  4. Drag the frame to reposition or resize
  5. Click “Apply” to save your changes

Using the Original Layout

To show the full speaker in landscape format:
  1. Click “Edit Scene”
  2. Click “Crop”
  3. Click the “Original” button
This displays the complete frame with the speaker centered, showing the full landscape view without any cropping.

Tips for Better Framing

  • Zoom out if important gestures or visual elements are being cut off
  • Center the speaker if they appear off to one side
  • Use “Original” layout when you want to show the complete scene
  • Adjust cropping per scene for dynamic framing throughout your clip
Perfect your framing to ensure your speaker and content are always presented exactly as intended.
